Jonge Wolven (translated: Young Wolves) is a Belgian series on the national channel VTM that revolves around the lives of young top entrepreneurs. For the final episode, these top entrepreneurs organized a pitch day where anyone with a business idea could register. The stake: a year of coaching from these experienced top entrepreneurs. Of course, Velusta couldn't resist signing up for this. After a pre-selection Velusta was chosen to pitch at the finals together with a handful of other start-ups. With good preparation and a little bit of healthy stress, we were able to bring this final to a very good end and won a year of intensive business coaching!
For the talk show Student Today Founder Tomorrow on Kanaal Z, our founder Luka Šeparović was called upon to share his experience and the goings-on of Velusta with the audience. Furthermore, some interesting cases were worked out about sustainable entrepreneurship with the help of top entrepreneurs. Special thanks to SINC Antwerp for this opportunity!
During our small business project at the University of Antwerp, we had the opportunity to lay the foundation for our business. We were allowed to pitch our business idea for several competitions on regional and national level.
After winning all these competitions and the national finals, we got to represent Belgium at international competition for best student enterprise of Europe in 2018, called the JA Europe Enterprise Challenge. We didn't win this final, but instead we had a very nice international experience in the capital of Latvia, Riga.
Four young engineering students at the University of Antwerp created a new pair of cycling pants that should provide protection against road rash and grazes. An extra protective layer prevents the bibshorts from tearing and absorbs the heavy impact of a crash. "Because of the light material, the cyclist can still ride around very comfortably," Luka Šeparović (23) from Geel told Radio 2 Antwerp in "Start Your Day."
